Fixture Installation, Matched to What's Actually Behind the Wall
The fixture in the showroom photo assumes a rough-in that may not match your home. We check before we quote the install.

Why fixture installs vary so much across the GTA
A faucet swap in a newly built North York condo, with standardized modern rough-ins, is a different job than the same swap in a century home in Riverdale with original plumbing runs. Fixture installation quotes that don't account for this end up either overpriced for the easy job or underscoped for the hard one.
Older homes, non-standard rough-ins
Pre-war and early postwar Toronto homes often have rough-in spacing and pipe positioning that doesn't match modern fixture standards, requiring adapter work or minor rework.
New-build standardization
Newer GTA construction typically follows current code rough-ins, which can make some installs faster, but finished surfaces sometimes complicate access.
Water pressure variance
Older galvanized supply lines can restrict pressure in ways that affect how certain fixtures, like low-flow toilets or specific faucet types, perform after install.
Shutoff valve condition
An install often reveals an aging shutoff valve that should be addressed at the same time rather than reused as-is.

Why a generic install quote falls apart on-site
A quote based on 'install one faucet' without confirming your existing rough-in, valve condition, and wall access can turn into extra charges once the installer actually opens the cabinet or wall.
How we quote fixture installs properly
We ask about the fixture, the room, and, where it matters, take a look at existing rough-in and shutoff condition before finalizing the number. If your shutoff valves need attention too, we say so in the same quote rather than as a change order once we've started.
Our fixture installation process
Matching the fixture to what's actually there.
- 1
1. You tell us the fixture and location
Faucet, toilet, shower valve, or other fixture, plus which room.
- 2
2. We confirm rough-in compatibility
Especially important in older Toronto homes with non-standard spacing.
- 3
3. We quote labour and any adapter work
Including shutoff valve replacement if the existing one is compromised.
- 4
4. We install and test
Checking for leaks and proper function before we consider the job finished.

Fixture installation questions
Can you install a fixture I've already purchased?
Yes, we regularly install customer-supplied fixtures, though we'll confirm it's compatible with your existing rough-in before finalizing the quote.
Will my old shutoff valves need replacing?
Sometimes. Older valves, especially in pre-1980s GTA homes, can be seized or worn, and we'll flag this during the visit rather than after starting work.
Do older homes cost more to fit new fixtures?
It depends on rough-in compatibility. Some older homes need minor adapter work, which we'll price separately and clearly.
Do you install both faucets and toilets?
Yes, along with showers, tubs, and other standard plumbing fixtures.
What areas do you cover for installs?
Toronto plus Peel, York, Durham, and Halton regions.
